Since this new FT8 mode is in the WSJT-X program - I downloaded the ver 1.8.0-rc1 to see if everything would be the same as before - so that we could use my WSJT-X BRIDGE ver 1.4. Sure enough!! GOOD TO GO!! If you want to use this FT8 mode from within WSJT-X program -- and you want to log FT8 modes into DXbase2007 -- BE SURE to go into DXbase2007 and go into Main Menu/ Tools/Database Access/Digital Mode Names... and ADD the mode FT8. I have been successful in using my WSJT-X BRIDGE ver 1.4 to auto-log the QSOs. Just FYI!!! 73, Joe wa6axe Joseph Glockner wa6axe at verizon.net From w2cg at comcast.net Fri Jul 14 11:54:36 2017 From: w2cg at comcast.net (MARTIN GROZINSKI) Date: Fri, 14 Jul 2017 11:54:36 -0400 (EDT) Subject: [Dxbase] DXBase Internet Cluster Window Troubles Message-ID: <602985778.32394.1500047676588@connect.xfinity.com> I'm having two problems with DXBase 2007 v1.10, OS Win 7 Pro 64bit, Radio: IC-7600 with microHam USB III interface. These maybe related, but I don't know. 1. When I try to change settings in the Internet Cluster window by going to View/Styles/Standard, DXBase 2007 hangs up. I goto the Task Manager and it indicates that DXBase 2007 is "not responding". 2 When I try to QSY from the Internet Cluster window on a "Green" check mark for a station I need, the radio doesn't change frequency. But if I try to QSY from the DX Info window the radio's frequency changes with no problem. Anyone have a suggestion on how to remedy these two issues? 73 Marty, W2CG From wa6axe at verizon.net Sun Jul 16 18:24:11 2017 From: wa6axe at verizon.net (Joseph Glockner) Date: Sun, 16 Jul 2017 18:24:11 -0400 Subject: [Dxbase] FT8 mode and LOTW - Joe WA6AXE Message-ID: <15d4d8076eb-35e8-a0ac@webprd-m09.mail.aol.com> UNTIL the FT8 mode is configured into our TQSL Config XML file -- you CAN MAP FT8 to DATA ... FT8 is now in adif itself - but, not yet adopted into TQSL/LOTW Config ... Go into TQSL program / Main Menu / File / Display or Modify Preferences... / go to the ADIF Modes Tab -- and enter FT8 -> DATA Save it ... NOW - you CAN make TQSL accept the adif mode of FT8.. Once the TQSL config is updated to FT8 as an accepted MODE - you can delete the FT8->DATA over-ride. This FT8->DATA "will" allow a MATCH to be made in LOTW itself. Hope this helps!! 73 Joe wa6axe Joseph Glockner wa6axe at verizon.net
