This callsign will default to France(F) because of the Alias Map table mapping. This callsign is not currently MAPPED in the CALLMAP table -- so, if you want, simply make a dummy QSO with this callsign and change the PREFIX column of your logbook mdb file to FK and then when the pop-up asks you if you want to save this TX8JOTA mapped to FK -- say YES/OK ---- Then delete that dummy QSO .. The CALLMAP table will now be updated in advance so that if you work this station -- it will have the correct PREFIX in your logbook QSO window ... 73 Joe WA6AXE Joseph Glockner wa6axe at verizon.net From wa6axe at verizon.net Fri Oct 28 13:17:41 2016 From: wa6axe at verizon.net (Joseph Glockner) Date: Fri, 28 Oct 2016 13:17:41 -0400 Subject: [Dxbase] Heads-up on operations using the callsign TO6ABM (ambiguous prefix) Message-ID: <1580c4c0f5f-5477-bd64@webprd-a23.mail.aol.com> Just a heads-up about a callsign that are in the AMBIGUOUS category for Prefixes ... // TO6ABM // Just saw that the callsign TO6ABM from Martinique, on October 29 - October 30, 2016. I have an old Idiompress card which has failed.? I have tried to contact them to see if it would be practical to repair, but no response has been received as yet. The ERC-Mini DX from Easy-Rotor-Control has a built in USB interface which I believe generates a virtual Com port which should be compatible with DXBase. Does anyone have any experiences with any of these interfaces with DXBase?
