Just saw that the callsign TX8F will be used in the CQ WW DX  CW Contest (Nov 26 - Nov 27, 2016)
as TX8F from the  ARANC (Association  des Radio Amateurs  en  Nouvelle-Caledonie)  
club  station  in  Noumea  (OC-032),   New Caledonia.. This callsign will default to France(F)
because of the Alias Map table mapping.
 
This callsign is not currently MAPPED in the CALLMAP table -- so, if you want,
simply make a dummy QSO with this callsign and change the PREFIX column
of your logbook mdb file to FK and then when the pop-up asks you if you want
to save this TX8F mapped to FK -- say YES/OK ---- Then delete that dummy QSO ..

Subject: [Dxbase] Cannot connect to internet cluster

This is new: I can't connect to any internet clusters. I keep getting a 
popup that says "Could not connect to the site!" and then "Packet Comm 
Mgr Initialization failed." I haven't changed anything that I'm aware of 
-- my internet connection remains fine. Is something corrupted 
somewhere? If so, what is it and how do I fix it?

I think this has been asked before, but I never saw an answer: Does 
there exist a current hosts file, or doe anyone have one they would make 
available? I've discovered that mine is out of date and that a lot of 
the entries are no longer active. There are a lot of entries, so I 
haven't gone through each one to verify if it's good or not, and I'm 
pretty sure new ones have appeared. Where would I find such a list?

Joe,
 Thanks, that works okay. I tested it at radio 1. Thecomputer reads the radio's frequency okay for logging a contact. When I clickedon a spot to QSY that worked fine too. 

Then I moved it to radio 2. I want to have two radiosconnected at the same time. My older radio is radio 1. The new radio to radio2. 

I have the toolbar ?QSO? turned on. ?That toolbar shows a 2 button for radio 2.When I push radio 2 and log a contact or two the frequency of radio 2 is readokay.? When I click on a spot to QSY,radio 1 is always the one that changes frequency. If I log a contact afterthat, the frequency of radio 1 is read. ?It appears that by clicking on QSY, the radio1 radio 2 button always changes to radio 1. Does anyone know how to stop that change?

I DO NOT run two rigs -- BUT, was wondering if I could answer your question..
So, I went to my BANDPLAN map and the one SPOT I was clicking on - I
changed the FREQ range to DISABLE or RADIO2 -- and VOILA -- the BUTTON
for "Push for Radio Two" STAYED pressed-in ... 

Previously, Without changing my BANDPLAN map -- when I clicked-on the
SPOT - YEP!!!!  The button for "Push for Radio Two" got reset back to Radio1..

So, bottomline appears to be - you have to setup your BANDPLAN Map so that
your use of Radio2 is handled correctly.

 Thanks, that works okay. I tested it at radio 1. Thecomputer reads the radio's frequency okay for logging a contact. When I clickedon a spot to QSY that worked fine too. 

Then I moved it to radio 2. I want to have two radiosconnected at the same time. My older radio is radio 1. The new radio to radio2. 

I have the toolbar ?QSO? turned on. ?That toolbar shows a 2 button for radio 2.When I push radio 2 and log a contact or two the frequency of radio 2 is readokay.? When I click on a spot to QSY,radio 1 is always the one that changes frequency. If I log a contact afterthat, the frequency of radio 1 is read. ?It appears that by clicking on QSY, the radio1 radio 2 button always changes to radio 1. Does anyone know how to stop that change?
