Hello Joe,
Thanks for your help. Your solution to my problem worked fine and I have written it up in my DXbase note book along with lots of other problems and help you have given to users over many years. I still believe that DXbase is probably the best log program that exists for the DX enthusiast and I am mostly content with it as it is. Yes, it could do with a few minor tweaks and re-packaging for easy installation but I am happy to stay with it as it is. It would be interesting to see a list of what changes/improvements have been requested so that existing users could comment about whether needed and possibly add to the list.
Kindest regards and thank you,
John G3HTA

GM John,
Close DXbase2007 and then DELETE
PKTNL.WID
and
PKTMSG.WID
that are in the Dxbase2007 main directory..
Open DXbase2007.. Skip past any pop-up error windows..
DXbase2007 has now re-made your PKTNL.WID and PKTMSG.WID files.
Close DXbase2007 -- Open DXbase2007 .. you are now ready to go..

Subject: [Dxbase] DX Info Window blank
Hi all, I am running DXBase ver 1.10 on Windows 7 Professional but have a problem that I can’t easily resolve without doing a total reinstall. Both the DX Info and Summary Windows were blank when I booted, showing only the background colours. The Summary window was easily restored by deleting the two files: SVIEWHF.wid and .hgt and letting the program restore them on a reboot. However I cannot restore the DX Info window. I tried using a “Restore the computer to an earlier date” by going back about 3 weeks before the problem, but it was still lost. Any suggestions would be welcome. I had hoped that the new version of DXBase would have been available at Dayton Hamvention as promised but guess Neal couldn’t quite make it. That new installation would have solved my problem. Regards to everyone and Thanks.
