Subject: [Dxbase] Omni VII DXbase 2007 interface settings?

Just connecting up new Omni VII radio to DXbase 2007. Have  comport set OK 
I believe as the program will change mode after about 4 seconds,  but ONLY 
the mode when importing a cluster spot.  I do have the Omni VII  radio.ini 
and the radio menu shows the Omni VII which is selected.
 
Here are the settings I'm using (I can find nothing in the O7  manual 
regarding settings).
 
Checked on: Connect HF Radio 1 Serial interface
Com 3  as designated by USB/Serial driver software and  shown in device mgr
Baud 57600
Parity None
Word length 8
Stop Bits 2
 
DTR High RTS High and CTS all left unchecked.
 
I've seen this very slow response on other radios when  settings were not 
correct but I have no guidance on this radio for  settings.

Just tried to import an ADIF (standard) into DXbase 2007 which  contained a 
few hundred QSOs. It accepted 40 then stopped with the error box  saying 
(something very close to this).   "errors.txt not available/not  found" It hit 
a dupe and it stopped and displayed that error box. Normally the  dupes 
show in the error box and the import continues normally. This didn't  happen 
except for one line that said "the station would cause a duplicate in the  
files" (something like that). I only got the calls with #s to import before  it 
stopped dead. Not sure if that's significant or just a coincidence. I 
assume  it starts with #s (ASCII heirarchy?) It may have hit a dupe # prefix call 
sign  in fact.
 
I'm missing a file? (errors.txt?)

Just a heads-up about a callsign that are in the AMBIGUOUS category for Prefixes ...

 Just saw that the callsign TX3X will be used from the Chesterfield Islands (OC-176) from 
 1-12 October 2015. This callsign will default to France (F) because of the Alias Map table mapping.
 
 This callsign is not currently MAPPED in the CALLMAP table -- so, if you want,
 simply make a dummy QSO with this callsign and change the PREFIX column
 of your logbook mdb file to FK/C and then when the pop-up asks you if you want
 to save this TX3X mapped to FK/C -- say YES/OK ---- Then delete that dummy QSO ..
 
 The CALLMAP table will now be updated in advance so that if you work this
 station -- it will have the correct PREFIX in your logbook QSO window ...

I tried to compact my log database using the built-in DXbutiliy in DXbase 2007.
After pointing to the address location of my I2KMG.mdb, I ran the utility.
The response was "Error in creating temporary db".
Any suggestions?

Is there a way to do real time XML call sign lookups on QRZ?  It would be
nice to have information fields fill in without using a CD.  

Also, is there a way to upload QSO information in real time to Clublog?  I
see that Clublog has an API available (HTTP POST adif format) and that some
of the other programs have this feature, but has there been an attempt to
implement it in DXBase?

DXBase still rocks, it just needs a little tweaking now and then.

I have been using WSJT-modes on HF for some time. A bridge to DxBase would 
be appreciated and make it easyer to operate.
Will the bridge work on all flavours of WSJT-packages? On my PC I have 
WSJT7, WSJT9, WSJT10, WSJTX and JT65-HF. The latter is not of the closest 
family.

This happened a few years ago but I forgot what I did to cause  this or to 
remedy it. Anyone know the common cause of this? Please advise.  Thanks in 
advance. 
 
I have initialized, then when that didn't fix it, I restarted  the program. 
Same deal after restart. No updates of B/M for new  B/M QSOs.
