[Dxbase] DXbase 2007 on another computer.

I have tried in vain to get DXB to work on a laptop.  The program has 
been installed but will not open any database.  It will not even open a 
renamed version of the "virgin" database.  The error message that 
appears is "The database you selected is not compatible with this 
version of DXbase.  Try again and choose the right database.  DXbase 
will now abort."

That would be great if you even had an opportunity to browse for another 
database but no way.  It wants to open a "k8fc" database. I copied and 
renamed the virgin database but to no avail.  I find it interesting that 
it cannot open a renamed version of a known good database.

I'm not even at a point where the program will run.  Just fails 
immediately with the above error.

I have un-installed it, removed the directory but apparently the 
registry values for the program are not deleted as it wants to always 
open "k8fc" right after a clean installation and a prior dxbase 
directory removal. So, at the moment I am dead in the water on this pc.


Thanks in advance if you have an idea of what the next steps are.
