I have mixed feeling about reading Joe is going QRT. Mixed yes, he has be a
great help to everyone, 'self included. But, the last time Joe help me he
made me feel like a total a-hole simply because I missread a step, I
remained polite and apoligized for my stupidy - only to have it thrown back
in my face. Regardless, I do thank him for his help.

As far as continuing DXB support there are also a hell of a lot of unsung
heroes who have also stepped up to help us all out. My thanks goes to all
those good fellows knowing they will be there to help us again and again if
needed, and continue giving support as needed. Thanks fellows. As for the
rest of us, let's all pitch in and help each other when we can.

Regardless of Joe's decision, I will not be jumping ship. I know for my
needs, DXBase even as it stands right now, more than meets my requirements,
and those honest with themselves know also know that to be true. Very
simply put, DXB offers features that are not found in any logging programme
I have looked at. I for one do not need new logging features coming at me
each week that some authors of free software toss out at the drop of a hat.
I don't see the need for GUI interfaces that take up valuable real-estate on
my screen. What I do want is long-term stability and the best log management
going, and by-gum DXBase has been all of that for me.

We all know Neal is putting a new face on our favorite logging software, and
like many I am anxious to see it in action, but NOT at the sacrifice of
stability. Neal has told us time and time again that DXBase is not his
primary bread-and-butter, so let's cut him the slack he needs to make his
business work and let him code DXBase when time and health afford him. Even
Joe's own words were "life is damned well too short for all of this".

Neal, good luck with both business and your health.

Again, I am not about to jump ship.
