Dave,
WELL .. I don't know what to tell you now -- I JUST finished installing the Regular JT65-HF program
(from sourceforge.net) -- and since ver 1.07 is the ROCK SOLID ONE --- I installed THAT VERSION ---
NOT the latest beta version ---- on my Windows7 64 bit LAPTOP computer ....
Then I installed my Bridge -- placed it into my DXbase2007 main directory ...
FYI -- on my Windows7 64 bit LAPTOP -- I am NOT running my BRIDGE (EXtra) program with the
properties of "Run as adminstrator" -- not needed in this case --
FYI -- on my Windows7 64 bit LAPTOP -- I "AM RUNNING" DXbase2007 with the properties (Compatability TAB)
of Run as adminstrator ..
FYI -- on my Windows7 64 bit LAPTOP -- I am NOT running the Basic JT65-HF ver 1.07 program with the
properties of "Run as adminstator" -- not needed in this case ---
DXbase2007 ver 1.09 (on my windows7 64 bit machine) is in C:\DXbase2007
Basic ver 1.07 JT65-HF program itself is in default location of: C:\Program Files (x86)\jt65hf
My Bridge for JT65-hf (Extra version) is located in C:\DXbase2007
MY Windows7 64 bit machine's UAC (User Account Control) is set on Never Notify (Turned OFF) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I callup DXbase2007 and the Basic JT65HF program -- then callup my BRIDGE -- the two ICONS are
solid GREEN (both) -- so, I know that everything SHOULD BE OK ...
Then I make SURE that I have setup DXbase to AutoSave QSOs ---
Then -- I simply (to test the system of logging a qso to dxbase directly) press the JT65HF program's "Log QSO"
button -- and I manually fill-in the info -- since I am only playing with the program right now --- and I then press
the "Log Contact and Close this window" button -- and
VOILA --- the QSO info is NOW in DXbase2007 and has been autosaved ... When you setup the BASIC JT65HF
program (version 1.07) from sourceforge.net -- ALWAYS take the defaults -- DO NOT try to force the
files into any other place than the DEFAULTs ...
I NOW -- have a Windows7 64 bit LAPTOP that is ready to run JT65-HF ... so, I do not KNOW Dave, what
you might have setup differently as compared to what I have given you above --- it WILL WORK is all that I can say ...
Try to duplicate the setup (above) that I did -- and see what happens ...
Good Luck
