[Dxbase] SUCCESS with the SPLIT on IC-7600 and IC-9100

Tnx to Greg (NZ6E), the last two days -- have proven to be very delightful for both Greg and I !!!

Just to let you all know where we are at right now ...  We have the Radios.ini file
for the 7600 and the 9100 setup so that you CAN (all ok) -- click-on a QSX spot
and DXbase will SET the rig VFO A and VFO B up correctly and you are in SPLIT mode ..

This works just like the HELP FILES indicate --- with a properly formatted QSX Spot
(such as)

QSX 14035.0 

in the spot 

or

QSX UP 5

in the spot

The XCVR (7600 or 9100) WILL setup all ok ... and then if you NEXT click-on a
Non-QSX spot .. the RIG also sets-up correct (no split) ....


THIS portion of the fix is working GREAT!!!!   The only thing that remains to 
be worked out .. is the  auto-populating of the QSX FREQ into the NOTES column
of the Logged QSO entry ... and ... the ability to go to Main Menu / Tools/
Reset HF FREQUENCY 


We still have to work out the coding for the ini entry for the GETSPLIT  and  PRSSPLIT
lines of code ....


But - as it currently stands -- these new ini file entries WILL work for simply
setting the radio up with a SPLIT SPOT correctly ...

I am going to be working again with Greg  (NZ6E) later on to work out the GETSPLIT and
PRSSPLIT ...

If anyone wants to use the current  7600  (modified radios.ini entry -- which I have entitled
for now as):


[ICOM_IC-7600_SPLITOK]


This ini file entry uses BOTH the MAIN and SUB ...



I am sure that the 7000 and 7800 can also be modified to work for SPLIT SPOTs .... just need
a bit of time ..


GREG has been SO VERY helpful on this task .. we have spent literally hours working together --
with GREG having the rigs to test with ...


Just FYI for now .... email me directly if you want the  SPLITOK   version of the 7600 ini file
so that you can test it at your QTH ...
