If you are using the WINZIP or such UNZIP program -- then you are all ok -- but, if you
DO NOT have a separate UNZIP/ZIP program on that computer and Windows USES it;s
own unzip program -- that is when you will have the WIndows program BLOCK the
dao350.dll file ...
I tested the downloading on my own Windows7 64bit laptop -- which does nOT have a
separate UNZIP program - and sure enough -- the Windows system of course used
it's default unzipper and BLOCKed the dao350.dll file ...
Then - I came into my other computer which has the WINZIP program on it --
and the download of dao350.dll went AS EXPECTED -- with the WINZIP program
(or such program) doing the controlling - I was all ok .. it did not BLOCK the
file .. just extracted it and did not change the date or block it ...
again -- just FYI of lessons learned. ..

Subject: [dxbase] Joe wa6axe - autolotw 2.54 and dao350.dll
Well -- learned something today !! If you DO NOT have the dao350.dll file
on your computer -- and you download my ZIP file from the autolotw 2.54 webpage ..
PSE be aware that since this is a file that Windows finds as coming from ANOTHER
COMPUTER (other than yours) -- the Windows system automatically BLOCKS
the file --
I have been working with Ron (WB0SOK) -- and found that I simply had to
UNBLOCK the file (after extracting it from my ZIP file) - and then using the
regsvr32
program (from your RUN ... menu/window) -- you REGISTER the dao350.dll
file and ALL IS OK after that ...
This registry service 32 (regsvr32 program) needs to have the FULL PATHING of
the current location of where you saved/extracted the dao350.dll file --
then all is good ...
Just FYI for anyone who found that they could not use my autolotw ...
If you run into problems - email me pse..
