I just want to confirm to all that Joe and I had some tense moments on my
install but after installing and using the Team Viewer program, everything
went very smoothly. Joe was able to determine the major problem on the
install and once that was accomplished, everything went as smooth as silk
and is up and running. This is a great assest for troubleshooting and
without Joes help, I would probably have said the heck with it.
I am in the process of tweaking up my program to look like the one on my XP
computer and have downloaded the MS KB file in order to use the help menu. I
could just sit here watching Joe maneuver the mouse pointer and access the
computer while I did nothing except watch the mouse pointer moving around.
Really great.

Subject: [Dxbase] Success running ver 1.09 on Window7 64bit machine
ALL:
We had two users who just could not get DXbase2007 ver 1.09 installed
successfully on their Window7 64 bit computers ... The computer simply
WOULD NOT ALLOW DXbase2007 to FINISH making the dxb2007.ini file
that resides in the Windows directory ...
After working with Bill KF8N on this problem .. we finally resolved
his dilemma as being that "he simply had to execute the dxb2007.exe
program as "" Run As Administrator "" -- even though his login on the
computer listed him as the Administrator ...
So, IF you are having probs with ver 1.09 installing correctly on your
Windows7 64bit machines -- and you know that it is NOT the UAC or
Anti-Virus S/W causing the problems --
then try to simply run the program with the "Run As Administator"
activated --- THIS was the ultimate solution to cure Bill's problem.
Just FYI...
