[Dxbase] Populating QSO Label Database

I've been using dxbase for a number of years, but never, until now, for
QSLing chores. I have made it through the label/card creation module
and have things printing OK for my various card formats. I have the
basics of the selection wizard down. But.... What is the easiest way
to do "one-off" card replies to QSL requests? The only way I can seem
to find QSO data is by entering the call in the new QSO box and using
the find "up or down" function in the "edit" menu. Once I have found the
Q I push the QSO label save button on the toolbar. Usually, this
results in entering a bogus QSO because I forget to then delete the call
I was looking for from the new QSO box.
In the help file it says I can generate an entry for the QSO Label
database by right clicking in the previous QSO window. This does not
seem to be available to me, though the previous Q's are showing. So I
have to continue searching the database to find additional Q's with the
same station for QSLing. The selection wizard is very cumbersome for
just a couple of Q's, say, on certain bands with a particular station.
Also, it seems to me I remember a number of years ago a discussion about
eliminating the "seconds" from the time stamp and also the kHz decimals.
Was there a resolution to that? Additionally I think someone mentioned
a "slash-zero" font. Maybe that was Joe, can't remember for sure.
Any comments and/or suggestions would be helpful....
