[Dxbase] XP / VISTA / Windows7 -- Joe's DBChecker program - last thoughts

ALL:

Well, after many users of DXbase2007 testing and running (or not running!) my
Refdata/Logbook Checker exe program -- this appears to be how each O/S
is being handled:


Windows XP -- good ol' standby -- NOTHING Special to do!! Runs like a charm!

Windows VISTA and Windows 7  (user has DXbase2007 in " it 's " OWN directory right off
   of  C:\ drive's root directory -- vice the DEFAULT install) --

(a)  User should run the chkmdbs.exe program "as Administrator" .. 
(b)  The program runs all ok if the above (a) is done.


Windows VISTA and Windows 7  (user installed DXbase2007 in the " DEFAULT " directory) --

(a)  User should   NOT   run the  chkmdbs.exe "as Administrator" !! ...
(b)  The program OUTPUT is GOOD " if " above step (a)  is adhered-to.
(c)  If you accidentally RUN "as Administrator" (in this case) - the OUTPUT will not
      be correct!!


It appears NOW -- that YES!! All O/S platforms will run my program all ok ... just
a few sticky-point to remember for the  VISTA / Windows 7  users.
