Whenever Ibackup my files, I always go to the store folder and zip(compress)
the files and date tehm. This way when the NEW backup goes there, there is
nothing to overwrite them

Hi Dick,
The short answer is I always back up, so that was not the issue this time..
What happened is I updated DXB to a new folder and ran the backup utility
that comes with DXB. It is such a normal routine for me I did not think for
a second the new install would back-up over itself and that is how my data
got broken. It seems that the DXB backup utility defaults to the main DXB
folder. I just went back in my archives and got my last backup, no prob.
But you are right it is important to back up over an external media, which I
have been doing for years. Win ini included, as well as all my QSL card
templates, and a couple of other files and notes I keep.
Eric.
