[Dxbase] LOTW import problems

Mike,

On the first item .. You submitted your QSOs in the CABRILLO format (vice ADIF)
format - when you made your TQ8 file -- and, you are not using the latest
version of the IMPORT.exe program .. the most recent version takes care of the
problem with a CABRILLO format submission to LOTW ...

I have posted a ZIP file with just the Import.exe file enclosed to my Ham Radio website
for you to download .. the LINK is:

http://www.navycthistory.com/DXbase/Import.zip

With this version of the Import.exe file - you still can submit in Cabrillo format - and
now - the import.exe program will recognize the PHONE mode -- (which comes from your
Cabrillo formatted file) ..

You now are good for your first problem ..

Second problem -- when you submit to LOTW from ANOTHER logging program (other than
from DXbase) -- there is a good chance that the TIME will be OFF by seconds -- and this causes
the duplicate entry ... What happens, is that if the IMPORT.exe program CAN NOT find
the EXACT MATCH from the incoming LOTW data with your DXbase QSOs -- it will
make a new QSO ... in your case, the TIME (6 digits) is OFF by just enough that the
current LOGIC can not find a match ...

The BEST way to submit to LOTW -- is to ALWAYS do an adif export FROM DXBASE ..
Then make your TQ8 file (for submission to LOTW) from the DXBASE made adif file ..
This way - your MAIN logging (DXbase) program's TIME FIELD (full 6 digits) will be used ...
