[Dxbase] DCU1 - DXbase - WIN7 - Serial>USB

Hi Bob,

I am running DXbase 2007 on Windows 7/64 controlling a Yaesu G-2800DXA with 
an Idiom Press interface that uses the DCU1 format.

My used to serial adapter is a Digi Edgeport 8 that I got on ebay for cheap. 
When I installed the Digi Edgport Windows 7 Went and fetched the proper 
driver from the internet and it installed FB.

Had no trouble getting Dxbase to control the rotor.  I'm using the same 
settings as W2IRT on COM 6.

You don't mention if your Win7 is 32 or 64 bit. The USB/serial adapters 
written for 32 op system will not function with Win 7 64 bit so that could 
be the trouble.

Also you don't mention if you have used this USB to serial adapter with this 
PC/ DXbase to control anything else with success. If you haven't tried that 
it may help you isolate your source of trouble.

I am having some monir trouble with Win & and DXbase with some parameters 
that normally get saved to the ini file that I either can't change or if I 
change them the aren't saved when I exit and restart DxBase.  Running DxBase 
as Administrator doesn't solve them problem.  I'm really looking forward to 
the new version hoping it will be fully compliant. Neal has promised a fully 
compliant progrma so I'm willing to wait as I'm sure it's a lot of hard 
work.
