[Dxbase] ICOM 7800 new FIRMWARE update

I have noticed on another reflector that there is talk about a new
firmware update for the IC-7800 ..

There was talk about the SPLIT problem that has been a real problem with the
ICOM rigs for a long time --- I am curious if any IC-7800 user(s) have looked into
this formware update/upgrade and how it WILL or WILL NOT correct the SPLIT
problem ... from what I read so far -- it appears that it will NOT help the long-standing
SPLIT (read split) problem for the ICOMS..

The one note from the above webpage talks about the:

Additional functions for CI-V commands (ex. CW message) are provided to support the RS-BA1.

Oh - I do not have an IC-7800 .. just was following up on the long-standing ICOM SPLIT problem.
