[Dxbase] PRINTING ON QSL CARDS??

I have used a number of different HP laser printers over the years. It worked
successfully with an HP 1200. Currently using an HP 2420dn which is a bit of
overkill, it's a pricey duplex printer that I bought used. As to paper weight,
I really don't know... Its whatever 'The QSL Man W4MPY' prints on. My cards
have one side completely blank which I use to print the Q's on.

The secret to making good multi q cards is that you have to make sure that each
Q has identical routing information as the label just uses the routing info
(i.e. mgr, mgr-buro, direct, etc) for the last Q in the list to print on the
card. For that reason I do a test run using the label 5160-1qNew.lbl on plain
paper and study the labels to make sure all those for the same call have
identical, and correct routing! There are usually errors which I have to
correct.

Those errors to correct bring up a new issue...DXBASE2007 doesn't let you
correct label errors without a lot of rigamorole! When I want to overwrite a
label it won't let me. It says it's a duplicate, yes I know that, but it won't
let me say do it anyway after warning me. I have to go into the database and
remove the label entirely just to make a little change. This is annoying and
if Neal is reading this could you fix this!

Ron, N5IN
