I think id move the whole directory over after you do the install and the registration and see what happens if you have changed the looks of the screen and stuff. If its no big deal then all you need to move is the data file and the log file then set it up just like the other puker for rig control and such and you should be good..

Subject: [Dxbase] New PC

I need to install DXbase 2007 on a new computer. I keep my archive log on
my laptop (the one being replaced) and an up-to-date mirror copy on the
shack desktop PC. I have the DXbase 2007 download file and my registration
key. I know I can install the program on the new laptop and activate it.
Then I need to import 53K+ QSO records.

My question is: which files--if any--from the current laptop would I _NOT_
want to transfer to the directory on the new laptop? That is, are there
files that are specific to this platform that should not be moved to the new
platform? Clearly, my .mdb files, radios.ini and refdata.mdb will move
across along with the Reports, Labels and other folders. What would happen
if I simply moved the entire directory contents from the old laptop to the
new one?

Both laptops are Dell and the OS for both is XP Pro.
