[Dxbase] Joe wa6axe - eQSL lessons learned - update to myprevious

I recently got an email from an eqsl user wanting to know why I had rejected
her eqsl as not being in my log when I had already confirmed her via LOTW
and sent her a QSL card. That puzzled me too until I checked the date and
time on her eqsl against my log. There she was, but with a different call!
A quick check of the FCC license data showed that the call she was seeking
to confirm via eqsl wasn't issued until one week after our QSO! Apparently
the incompatibility of the issue date of her new license and the date of
the QSO under the old license was lost on her!
I also get a lot of rejected eqsl's in my Inbox due to people keeping their
logs in local time rather than UTC time. This also frequently causes lots
of date errors - off by one day due to the UTC date changing at 0000 UTC
while their local date doesn't change until midnight local time. Of course,
I should be able to figure out their local time zone, DST or standard time,
convert that into AK time and then convert that info to UTC to see if it
matches my log. Sure, I have nothing else to do!
73,
Gary AL9A
