I'd like the dropdown boxes to work on the secondary monitor. By LOTW support, most people mean "one click" - you click, it generates the ADI, signs it, and sends it, no "export to adif", then having to go into TSQL, sign, then email/go to web page. The API is there, but... How about having the LOTW report right inside dxBase? Not having to close the database, import, and the update statistics.
As far as I see at this point, dxBase is for all intents, abandoned by the developer. It's got great user support - add-ins, reports and the like, but the program itself?
I understand the spot Jack is in. I've developed small market "shrink wrap" applications. It's hard (VERY VERY hard) to justify the expense of a major rewrite, in fact, it's nearly impossible to justify writing the software in the first place, unless you have a LOT of free (as in non-billable) time, with nothing else to do.
DXBase does MOST of what I'd like/need it to do, and does it well. Jack honestly doesn't owe us anything. That said, I'd like to hear if there are any plans for an upgrade
