No need to apologize cause one guy went off over the deal :).. Ive been a dxbase user since the dos version also and although at one point in time jack kept telling me that my icom IC-735 was too old a rig for support and that I needed to buy a new rig ? Guess he thought everyone had his money we finially got everything working and all was well.. That was a while ago and now i have an icom 756 pro III . It doesnt show the split frequency when i put up a spot but other than that its ok.. Dxbase is falling behind.. I know there other programs out there but im hessitant to get into the big learning curve of new software but if we dont see any new releases for windows 7 or any updates at least I guess ill look elsewere.. I will look cheap simply because I dont have a job anymore and I really dont see me finding one ?.. Yup money is an object .. :).. For now as long as i can change frequencys with a mouse click and modes and log and watch for countries I need I really dont need anything else . Hell I waited untill Last december or this january i think to upgrade to the latest version and I really didnt see much for my money as far as new toys.. My opinion is that ive never really seen the bang for my buck on an upgrade but again the program works..

Subject: [Dxbase] Vista, UTC and correct log time.

I originally posted a question on UTC offset with DX base. When I first
upgraded to DXB 2007 it was running on an XP laptop. When I bought my Vista
desktop, 32 bit, I installed DXB on it. For some reason, I was having
problems with a log entry reflecting the correct Zulu time so I set my PC
clock to Zulu time which cured the problem.

Now I'm not sure why I had that problem but after receiving a couple of
answers here that DXB would adjust automatically to the correct Zulu time
based on my time zone, I've tried it and it works as advertised.

I've been a loyal DXB user since the DOS days and I know it is a powerful,
very flexible program. My problems with it are my problems and my needs are
my needs so sorry if I stirred up thread that upset some on here. I did not
intend to do that.

I will continue to use it but will also look for a solution that works
better for my needs.

Good DX and 73 all!
