[Dxbase] LOTW upload question

OK, I've finally joined the digital age and gotten signed up for LOTW. 
Thanks all you Triple Play award chasers who have been badgering me to get 
off the dime!  Now the questions start.

I use DXB2006 and just spent the morning using the Wizard to create various 
ADIF files for conversion to tq8 files for uploading.  I know I could have 
just done the whole log, but wanted to submit smaller files to see what 
happened in case something blew up.  All seemed to go ok with the TQSL 
process to create the tq8 files and they all uploaded.  However, my DXB data 
base has 24,490 records in it and after uploading all the various tq8 files 
(one file per calendar year plus 2009 YTD) LOTW only shows 20,931 QSO 
records.

Anyone know why I'm short 3,560 records?  Should I just go ahead and upload 
the entire log in a single file to see if more records upload?

Next is to figure out the best way to download some 5,000 QSL records 
waiting for me.  Any suggestions of things to watch out for?  And I know, 
back up my data base first!
