Try deleting the DXBase.ini file in the Windows directory and see if it works.

New laptop running Vista .. I loaded up dxbase and of course it was in trial mode and the host file wasnt there but I figured id do that last. I added my registration to the registry and now it comes up and if i tell it to go to my mbd file it just closes?.. If i tell it to use the trial mbd file it tells me its the wrong version ?
