Subject: [Dxbase] MMVARI + MMD60 + DXBase - updated words about it

For anyone who is not familiar with the MMVARi,
MMTTY, MMSSTV version of software - let me add the
following to my words from the other day about
getting the MMVARI - MMD60 - DXbase linkup to work
and LOG your QSO directly into DXbase ..

The following words were what I sent the other day:

/////////////////

To USE MMD60 (which is a BRIDGE program) - and have it
LOG into DXbase - you simply go into the MMVARI program's
Option / Setup Logging ... / Conversion (TAB)
and look to the far right and make the Radio Button next
to Link (Turbo HamLOG/Win) ... that selection (Radio Button)
is all that is necessary ..

Now, bring up MMD60 program - then bring up MMVARI - then
bring up DXbase ... your MMD60 program should have GREEN
lights for the acknowledgement that the BRIDGE is made ...

YOU can now log directory into DXbase ...

This same procedure is used on

MMTTY, MMVARI and MMSSTV

////////////

OK - the above WILL get the three programs talking together.
BUT --- BUT --- remember that the MMVARI and MMTTY and MMSSTV
programs have a QSO button "that must be pressed TWICE" to get
the QSO logged into DXbase. This has nothing to do with the
LINKUP -- but, is strictly a "procedural" mechanics that MMVARI
and all MM**** programs use ..

Hopefully, the above will help someone who is not familiar
with the programs; and, who has not read the help files for the
MMVARI program's own uniquenesses.
