[Dxbase] DXBase 2006 installation, Vista SP1, MFC Application does not work any more.

An immediate fix to your problem.

Go find a copy of Windows XP, format the hard drive on the new computer, 
install XP,  and then install DXBase.  I bet that fixes the problem.

Once done, "pray" that  the new operating system (Windows 7) does a lot 
better job with compatability issues.

I also understand Microsoft has combined Windows CE, ME and NT Workstation 
into one named "CEMENT".
