[Dxbase] trouble with excel worksheet for converting paper to electronic logs

I know that several here are using an excel worksheet or workbook to 
import paper logs to dxbase.

I have one version that I have used in the past but is not working for me now.

What is a problem is extracting the date from log page and getting 
into the cell on the ADIF page.

This part of the function is not working
&YEAR(Log!A5)&IF(MONTH(Log!A5)<10,"0", 
"")&MONTH(Log!A5)&IF(DAY(Log!A5)<10,"0","")&DAY(Log!A5)

Any suggestions? using Excel 2002
