[Dxbase] New Dx-ped TX5C -- getting your CALL MAP database

I use almost the same procedure here. But after tabbing to the prefix
column and entering the new prefix, I then click on the callsign column
again. This will also cause the prompt to appear, asking if you want to map
the callsign to the chosen prefix. After answering yes, you can then just
press the escape key to cancel saving the record. That way you don't have
to go back and delete the record, but the callsign has been mapped to the
prefix you want.

Here's an alternate procedure that I use all the time to create such
callsign mappings:
Just type in the callsign (TX5C) you want to map in the QSOLog window, then
hit the TAB key as if logging an actual QSO.
Go to the Prefix column in the QSOLog window and click to select the new
prefix you want (i.e., change from "F" to "FO/C").
Then save the record as a QSO. DXBase automatically prompts you and asks if
you want to map the chosen callsign to the chosen prefix. Click "Yes," then
delete the QSO record you just created (Record, delete record).
Works for me using DXBase2007.
