I have the same problem here and I believe it is a problem with dropping the connection to the ISP or your ISP to the internet.  Sometimes I will go a day or two without a problem, then I will lose the connection a couple of times a day.    

One of the "upgrades" (or a patch) to DXBase is a reconnect feature.  The keep alive feature does not reconnect after a disconnect; it just keeps the cluster from disconnecting from you for lack of activity.
