[Dxbase] Getting Started with LoTW

All,  Sorry to bother with such a simple question:  I am new to using DXBase
for LoTW, in fact, just
started the process with ARRL to get set up with LoTW. I have read the
documentation for LoTW in
DXBase but am not clear as to how to get started with the selection wizzard
to put together a "first"
file for submission to LoTW. Is the selection done by date range - or some
other criteria? I tried doing
a "test" creation but that didn't result in anything being written to the
file. Obviously I don't know how
to set up the criteria. I don't want to send the whole log yet (quite large)
until I work with a smaller file
to see how it all works and make sure I know what I'm doing. (grin)....

If you can direct me to a get-started doc or some steps I would greatly
appreciate the help.
