[Dxbase] Radio interface Kenwood TS450S

I've read the help files and the online information from DXbase, and I think I'm ready to connect the computer to the rig.  Last check.....is it just a DB9 serial plug & cable to a DIN that I need to interface to the radio?  Nothing else?  Totally plug & play?  Or will I need to do some config exercises after the cable is in place?

If anyone reading has connected a Kenwood TS450 successfully, I'd appreciate it if you could drop me a direct email to VE3VID at hotmail.com and tell me how it went.
