I am using dxb2007 and it stays with no problem. The only thing I can
suggest is to go into the windows directory (winnt for 2000 and nt. Windows
for all others.) and open the file Dxb____.ini, where the ____ is the
version year, in notepad. Go to Edit/find in the menu and search for TIPS
and change the 1 to 0. Do this with DXB closed. Give that a shot. If that
doesn't work, maybe bite your tongue while doing it.
Good Luck,
Tim, KQ8M

This looks like the most promising idea I have seen yet, but how do you KEEP
the option unselected? I have tried everything I can think of, and it keeps
turning the option back on. As soon as I leave the option window, a tool
tip appears under my cursor. When I go back to the tool tip option, it is
checked again. Is this function linked to some other function that must be
changed? I have tried to immediately close the program and reopen it, but
no luck. The option is checked again. Maybe you need to do it with your
left hand, or bite your tongue while changing it. I have not tried all
those options yet. Maybe someone could help me first.
Thanks

Well, I have found the refresh problem is due to the tool tips. If you turn
them off then the problem goes away. Turn them on and it is back.
Turn them off in user options under log defaults. Uncheck show tooltips.

I have seen this problem with DXBase on single monitor systems for
several versions. Move the mouse across the log window and the data
blows away.
I just used the mouse to change screens to leave the log and return
to restore it or move the data cursor on the right side and slide it
up and back to refresh the data.
