JV,
FYI, I have successfully run an IC-706MKII with DXB2005 and DXB2006. Not
Sure why yours is not working, but you don't mention your connections to the
Radio. Are you using the ACC jack on the back panel? On my 706MKII the
ACC jack is a 13 pin connector which I couldn't find so I purchased Icom's
Overpriced OPC-599 conversion cable that breaks out into two ACC jacks for
The various pin connections.
Computer control to radio control jack.
LPT to CW jack.
My radio is an IC-706MKIIG.
BTW, the radio comes with a 13 pin Din connector with wiring harness.

I must be the only guy in the world who uses LPT-1 on my computer to go to a
Printer! Since you have a RigBlaster, why are you taking CW off LPT-1? Why
Not just use the serial port connected to the RigBlaster to key the DTR line
To the RigBlaster then feed the CW output to the radio?
It's the way I made my interface. I don't need CW with DXBase but radio
control
Would be nice. DXBase does work OK with the IC-756pro and the other Dell
Computer (twin) with the same interface. Both computers and radios work OK
With N1MM Logger and DXLab programs. I do not use DXBase for contests.
Only for causal contacts. I import Qs from N1MM and DXLab.
============================================================
Anyway, just wanted to let you know it does work. Just have to find the
Magic button somewhere.
I have. I am going to delete DXBase and go to DXKeeper in the DXLab programs
Free and a better program. Excellent support by the authors and members.
JV
