[Dxbase] database problems

The *.mdb data bases can contain a lot of deadwood. If you will run the
DXB Utility and select the DXB Database you can compress the databases
to the same or perhaps nearly the same sizes.
I also have a 'Save' folder in my DXBase2006 directory and regularly
copy N5IN.mdb and refdata.mdb to it in case I ever have to restore, and
I have had to on occasion. Simply copying them back to the main is all
you have to do. Thus before making any significant changes to refdata
or just to preserve important Q's you should end DXBase and copy these
two files to the 'Save' folder in case you have to restore them.

My problem is this I messed up my prefixes on one computer (by adding yu6 as yu) now I can't get the prefix data base to initialize corretly. No problem i'll just copy my backup database (k4em) from my backup computer to this computer. Which I have done at 30 times over the years and never had a problem.

Again all qso records are the same; in fact I reloaded dxbase 2006 on this computer about one month ago and simply copied my backup k4em.mdb file (22mb) to the new dxbase program I just installed and everything is working. Or was until I messed up the yu prefix.
