[Dxbase] 2 problems

In dxbase 2006, I have a count of 2416 entries shown bottom left corner of
log screen.

reinitialize and count on that says only 2412.  question????where are the
others, or how do I find out



question 2. when I shut down 2006 (2003 did this too)dxbase stays resident,
and will NOT let me restart it, unless I end session in task manager (ctrl
alt del)

Running orig xp home, on 3 ghz machine.
