[Dxbase] Some Findings on my COM ports

Bob,

Both of your radios most likely should have the cts box checked. If
something is "fussing" when you do that, it is because some other device on
your machine is also seizing the same port. The DXB driver setup has no
bearing on your comports for radio use.

Regards,
Jack

Joseph, you gave me an idea. In the DXBase folder off the Start Menu is DXB
Driver Setup. So I checked that and found that the addresses for some of
the ports were not the same as in the device manager, they are now, but it
didn't matter. I also went into the Device Manger and made sure the
settings for ports 1 and 3 matched what I had in DXB, including speed, flow
control (hardware) and everything else. Rebooted and still no difference.
One thing I am not sure of is the FIFO setting and didn't get any hits in
the Help file about it.

I just went through checking the DTR, RTS and CTS settings on the second
rig. Found out that if CTS is turned on that DXBase fusses big time about
it, so it didn't take long to check the 4 possibilities of the DTR and RTS
switches. Again same old thing.

What still doesn't make sense is that fact that I am having the same problem
with two different rigs on two different ports.

Bob
