Tnx for all the feedback. To clarify a few points:
- I tried reinstalling 2006 but now it asks for a serial number. Not sure
where to get that. It didn't ask for it when I upgraded from 2005
- The speaker in the lower left corner is "yellow"
- When there is a DX callout or a "message" I just get a "ding".
- When I go to Tools>User options and select some of the tabs such as "TNC",
"Messages", "Internet" I get a message "The system cannot find the file
specified". Then I click "Okay" and the info appears. If I then go back to
these tabs everything seems fine.
- In the "Internet" and "TNC" tab, there are no sounds listed in the
pulldown for "Bell sound" and "Needed sound".
- There is no sounds folder such as "Omsounds" under the Dxbase 2006
directory.
One other thing. In 2005 when I opened the program, the lower left window
would open showing "Internet Packet". In 2006 the window opens with " CW
Line Out". It's no big thing, but is it possible to set up 2006 like 2005
with the "Internet Packet" window displayed?
Tnx for the help

Subject: [Dxbase] 2006 - sounds
Installed 2006. Everything was working fine. So I uninstalled 2005. Now I do
not have any sounds for 2006 and I there is no selection of sounds in the
drop down menus. So it seems I lost the sounds when I uninstalled 2005. How
do I get the sounds back? Do I reinstall 2006? Is there an easier way?
Tnx
