My reading of the DXCC rules causes me to reach the same conclusions. So
it appears that DXBase2006 is doing this right, even though at first
glance it did not seem right.
Further I see that neither the 5 Band DXCC nor the DXCC Challenge can be
endorsed for mode, Thus if you have FX5XO on 40 for one mode you get no
further credit toward either of these awards for the other two modes on
the same band. Of course that didn't keep me from working them on such
band/modes!!
The DXCC Challenge rules seems to imply that they will figure out when
you qualify? At least I didn't notice an application for it. In this
regard I think it would help if DXBase would total the columns on the
Output>HF_Numeric_Statistics>Countries window. The total for the mixed
CFM column would appear to be ones DXCC Challenge total (assuming you
have them registered and accepted at the ARRL DXCC office). Then if they
don't notify you, you can prod them!
