Hi OM,
When using DXBase Rotor control, it is important NOT to close the 'Summary
Window', that is where the calculations come from for direction. That is one
way to get the error message you mentioned.

Another way is NOT entering a station call in the Call Entry box.

In set-up with my Idiom interface, I select the 'Character' and 'Use Leading
Zeros in Degrees' option. I also set 'Bump' to 10 degrees, I forget what the
reason was other then I made a entry in my station notes to do so.

Still having problems .... cannot control the Hy Gain DCU 1 from Dxbase.

1. I have checked the Activate ROTOR 1 in the Rotor 1 tab
2. I have entered my QTH +44.89 Lat / +93.11Lon in USER opt/ General tab 3.
I continue to get an error message as follows

The beam heading cannot be found.
Make sure the beam heading is present in the summary window.
If using arrow buttons make sure DX base has already set the current
beam heading.

I was advised that ;

First make sure that you have it 'enabled' in the correct rotor 1 page3 on
the User
Options.
Second, the first time you use DXB, you must tell it where the antenna is.

I do not understand the second instruction. Do I type in an arbitrary Log &
Lat ?

Can someone give more specific detail on this set up. It seem like it should
be simple but I haven't had any luck.
