Thats what I called the txt file my mistake I ment INI.  Sorry.  First time I installed one of Joe's files.  Now I know what to do with it.  I moved the RPT file to the REPORT    DIRECTORY and the INI command I copied what was in the RPTDESC.ini to the RPTDESC.ini  in DXbase2005 and it worked..  Many thanks for your help.  It was a big help to me.  It all makes sence to me now.  I have been away from modifying windows 3.0 commands and changing stuff it just did not ring a bell.  doing this brought back some good old memories.
