One of the most useful tools I've found is ARUser by VE7CC.
It serves as a front end for any internet/vhf cluster.
With superior filtering to eliminate just about any annoyance that the cluster provides.
I start ARU, Start DXB, and I only get the type of cluster spots I want,
from what part of the world I want.
I can filter Announcements the same way.
And as a bonus, I can filter out spots or announcements from the obnoxious.
ARU even filters on swear words which seem to have become more prevalent.
Just sitting in the background, it ports the spots/announce to DXBase.
And much easier to set up than DXTelnet.
It also provides a online CHAT for groups with similar interests such as IOTA or RTTY.
Talk message addressed to you will be indicated by a sound and/or popup.
Up to the minute Solar Indices, even a greyline map.

Oh...and did I mention that Lee provides the program for free??? :-)
