[Dxbase] Multiple Database Files?

I'm trying to create a separate .mdb file in which to put my QRP qso's. The purpose is to track QRP qso's for states, CQ zones, and countries. 

Here's what I did. I flagged all my QRP QSO's in my NI0C log file, then exported these to an ADI file called QRP, using the selection wizard. Then I made a copy of the DXB2006 virgin database file, put it in my DXB2006 folder and renamed it NI0C-QRP. Finally, I tried importing data into this file from the QRP.ADI file. I tried doing this using DXBase import and non-DXbase import. I got messages indicating "unable to open source file." 

What am I doing wrong? Is there an easier way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?
