Art,

Assuming you don't have pin 5 of the WinKey wired to anything, and you have the "lead-in" and "tail" delays programmed to zero, I would think your QSK should work fine.

Since I don't have a QSK amplifier, I use the PTT feature of WinKey with pin 5 wired to key my amplifier and the key output wired to my transceiver. I program the delays to avoid hot-switching the amplifier.

With QSK, I think you would want to set the "pin 5 config" option in DXbase (under Tools, Options, CW options, WinKey options) to "tone." However, that shouldn't be necessary if pin 5 isn't wired to anything.

Hi,

Every time I start DXBase 2005 it sets my K1EL WinKey to PTT. I like to use
it QSK so I have to always reset it to turn off the PTT. Anyone know know
to keep DXBase from doing this? I see no settings in the CW Options that
allow you to turn it off.
