[Dxbase] Hybrid DXCC application

Hi folks,

I'm getting ready to submit a pretty heftyDXCC application (one new award, 
band endorsements on 10, 15, 20 and Phone) and there are a couple of things 
I'm not real sure about.

I have only one entity (Aves) confirmed by LoTW that I don't have 
hard-cards for already, but I *do* have about 464 confirmed QSOs in the 
LoTW system.

What would you suggest my best strategy would be for making this 
submission? I don't care whether I use the LoTW credits or hard cards, 
frankly. Here's the question. Let's say I choose to submit a hybrid 
application. How can I ensure that the QSOs that LoTW chooses to use are 
the same ones that DX Base would include for a given entity or mode? Let's 
say I have Slovakia confirmed on 40 by one station on LoTW and by another 
in hard-card. In filling out the QSO form with DX Base, how can I make sure 
that DX Base selects the same QSO that LoTW would select? Or am I 
completely mis-understanding the LoTW system?

Honestly, their awards selection mechanism is arcane in the extreme, and 
I'm tempted to do it all hard-card and put on a note telling them to fetch 
Aves Island from my LoTW records manually and add it to my totals!
