[Dxbase] Manually Entering Old Log Data

Dean,

You might think about using my Excel spread sheet to enter old
logs. I find that I can enter old logs SIX to EIGHT times faster into the
spreadsheet than I can enter them into DXBase. Once they are in the
spreadsheet, it will save them as an ADIF file and you can then import that
file into DXBase. Works well for just uploading logs to LoTW as well.

Here is a link to my website where you can read a full description
and download the spreadsheet.

One thing that makes this spreadsheet faster is that once you enter a
date or band or mode, the spreadsheet remembers that and automatically
enters it for the next QSO. So, if you make a lot of QSO's on the same
date, band and mode, all you have to enter is:

TIME [tab] CALL [Enter]
TIME [tab] CALL [Enter]
TIME [tab] CALL [Enter]

And so on. Makes it really go quickly. You can, of course,
over-type the date, band or mode for any particular entry and the new
information will carry down to the next entry.

You will need to have a copy of Microsoft Excel 97 (or a later
version) to run the template I created. If you have any questions, just
drop me an email.
