Well, another Big Contest Weekend has come and gone, this time with a LOT
less QSLing hassle than in previous contests. Why less? Joe's MARVELLOUS
report "All Time New Band Mode." Just set up the start and end dates after
you've imported and Badda-bing (sorry, just watched the Sopranos season
opener :-)) You know just who to QSL.
Now, what would be the perfect addition to this feature? Automatic
generation of QSO labels based on the output of that report!
I'm wondering how easy it would be to have an easy one-touch solution along
these line (or close-enough to one-touch) that could be used as follows:
After you import any ADIF file into your log You can press a button or
launch a module, etc, that scans that file for any new band/mode data
(compared to what was there before), and generate labels based on that data.
In every contest in the past, this chore was the one thing I dreaded each
Sunday night. Now, thanks to Joe's report, it was relatively painless this
time. Automating this feature, or at least finding a way to make labels for
the output values of that report, would be an absolutely *killer* feature!
