I have a whole set of SQL's and macros i use for county hunting.
They collect together the Needed QSL's from the log tables and mark the
USER2 bit. I don't have to go in and mark the QSOs the SQL's know what is
needed based on the confirmed flag for 'Card'
( currently us-ca they do not accept LOTW QSL's)
Then I use the selection wizard to put them into the QSO label file for QSL
printing.
For Reports, There is also a series of SQLs that produce lists, ( very
long ones as there a 3077 counties ). with the number of confirmed and
worked QSO's for all then for each band by each mode.
All that works nicely, just like the DX hunting does.
The only thing that doesn't work well, is getting the Address Labels.
I export the data using the selection wizard on the same user 2 bit to ADIF
file and use another logging program to print the Address labels in mass.
When I import my data from contests, I also run it through another logging
program to fill in the state and county fields in mass so when I load to DX
Base they are all set. It does it for DX as well which is a benni.
It's NOT for the Casual user. But I really needed county hunting. And
county hunting is QSL intenisve...
I can send a copy along, it's not small and it resides in a access 97
database under the sqls and macros. Some access knowledge is needed.
If Jack would want to make an application out of it like the DXCC window and
some selection wizard enhancements then we could see which counties are
needed 'when we enter the call' just like it does for the DXCC. Then this
could work nicely as a county hunting program as well.
