Thanks Art, but this isn't the prob either. I checked the Windows/Dxbase.ini
files for both 2003/2004. They are identical, except that the 2004 file
contains the "HFRTS=1" notation, as does your file. This eflects the addition of
the "RTS" checkbox in 2004, which needs to be checked for the communication to
take place.

IMO more important that the "radios.ini" file when
it comes to connectivity is the "Dxbase2004.ini"
in the Windows directory. You may have missed
something in the Tools/Options/UserOptions/Radio1
settings. Here is the [Radio] section in mine:
[Radio]
BAUD=4800
STOPBITS=2
PORT=1
CONNECT=1
FILTER=0
RTTY=0
PARITY=NONE
WORD=8
DEFAULT=1
RADIO=Yaesu_FT1000MP
HFDTR=1
FILEPATH=C:\Amateur Radio\Pegasus\
FILETYPE=0
HFRTS=1
