[DXBase] How to?-date time preferences

As a new user of any DX logging program I would like to add some "history" 
into DXBase 2004 from my paper logs.

Although a lot of potential typing, that isn't the problem.
The problem is that DXBase seems to always present current date, and current 
time in those cells.

How do I set the date window to stay on any date I enter until I change it. 
It would be great if the "time" cell either stayed at the last time entered, or 
reverted to a blank cell instead of current time.

Having to delete those two values each time is a pain, and it seems that it 
has to be done more than one time for each entry as I find it often dumps my 
entry and reverts to current date/time.

Hopefully this is a simple "preference" set up.
