The files are stored in a .dbx file -- one file for each folder you have --
I forget the exact terminology, but they will be named something like
outbox.dbx, sent.dbx etc. Do a search for all .dbx files and copy tyem to a
Cd or diskette. Then, before you collect your mail the first time on your
new computer, import the files (FILE - IMPORT) and your folder structure
will be kept, along with all the messages. Unfortunately, I don't remember
where the contact file (address book) is stored. Outlook Express should
allow you to export that file to a .csv (or something similar) file and it
can also be imported in the same way as your messages.

Subject: [DXBase] Help!
Excuse this for being off topic, but maybe you can help. My computer is
slowing dieing, maybe a little faster than normal. I have able to dump all
the important stuff to a harddrive on my daughter's computer. The biggest
thing I am trying to find now is the message database for Outlook Express.
If I knew the name I could search the harddrive, but I have no clue. I was
going to to an export, but it appears you can only export them to Outlook.
I would like to export them to a file that I can import when I get a new
computer. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bob
